This little brick house was built ca. 1830s. It was home to no judge or general. But it was home to a bus driver: Robert Woodrow Andes, in the 1940s. He lived here with his wife Helen.
Robert lived in Lancaster his entire life. But his life was short. He lived only to the age of 37. He also worked as a used car salesman and as an elevator operator. His main hobby was collecting postage stamps.
The house has pedimented dormers and a wood cornice. The lintels have unusual square bull's eyes, unlike the typical lintel roundels which are circular.
