This is the Widow Gemperling House, built ca. 1840s. It is a one and one-half story, four-bay brick house, with two pedimented dormers having arched upper sash. There are flat lintels, board shutters, a dentilled cornice, and iron grillwork over basement windows.
Elizabeth Isling Gemperling (1814-1903) lived here for more than 62 years. For 48 of those years she lived here as a widow with her children and other relatives.
