This ornate Queen Anne-style home rises high above North Duke Street. It is a three-bay, three-story house with a mansard roof.
The large gabled dormer has a double arched window of Rundbogenstil design. There is a polygonal bay window on the second floor.
In the 1890s this was the home of Charles and Catharine Amer. Mr. Amer was a hatter and fur dealer on West King St.
