This comfortable home was built ca. 1885 for Henry and Laura Franklin. Mr. Franklin was general manager of the Steinman Hardware Company. The Franklins were a prominent Lancaster family of attorneys and jurists.
The Queen Anne style house has a shingled cross gable with a tripartite window. There are segmental arches and bracketed eaves. The double entry door has glass panels and a rectangular transom.
