This important colonial townhouse was built ca. 1765 by the German Reformed Church, today's First Reformed UCC Church.
The building was the church parsonage. It provided a home for the pastor and his family. It was a double structure. An adjoining southern half of the building was the church’s school, but it is now demolished.
Georgian details of this building include a stone-and-brick water table, and a brick belt course. There are segmental arches and a modillioned cornice. The pedimented entry with pilasters is not original.
