Banker Henry C. Harner and wife Frances (Seitz) Harner built this comfortable home for their family in 1875. He was president of Lancaster’s First National Bank. He also was a pioneer in the development of the city’s West End and helped organize the Western Market on Orange Street.
This Second Empire-style house has a concave mansard roof, a bracketed, dentilled cornice, and decorative window caps. The porch is supported by classical columns on brick piers.
