416 North Duke Street Lancaster, PA

This is one of the finest symmetrical Italianate townhouses in Lancaster. (The Belvedere Inn is another excellent example of this architectural form.) The house was built in 1874 for Fulton bank president John R. Bitner and wife Fianna (Weidler) Bitner.
It features an ornate bracketed cornice, two bay windows, a central entry portico with a dentil course, brick quoins, and arched double windows.
