This attractive townhouse was built in 1870 as a speculation house by restaurateur Martin Urich. He sold it to hardware merchant John Deaner and wife Anna (Nenninger) Deaner. After John Deaner passed away in 1876 Mrs. Deaner lived here many years as a widow.
The house features a bracketed cornice, wood window caps, and an entry with fanlight and sidelights.
